Historic Camden is a private 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to preserve, protect, and celebrate Camden’s extraordinary Colonial and Revolutionary War history. We offer, tours, school programs, events, preservation of historic Kershaw County structures rental space, and a 107-acre park and nature trail on the original property of Camden’s founding father Joseph Kershaw, the original 18th century town of Camden, and the location of the occupation of Camden by the British under Lord Cornwallis in 1780-81. Proceeds from the race will go toward continued preservation and interpretation efforts on the site for the public.
